This plot of 2 acres is located on the north side of Aegina, between the villages of Vathi and Vagia, facing Salamina and Attica. Its main asset is its privileged position, as it offers unobstructed view of the Saronic Gulf from the north side, while from the south it overlooks a lush forest.

The studio was commissioned to design and construct two independent holiday residences, whose owners are relatives. Thus, privacy, though achieved, was not the ultimate goal, with the two buildings approaching each other, creating an interesting “visual tunnel” to the sea from the space in between them.

As far as the spatial synthesis is concerned, private and public areas were placed in such a way that everyone can enjoy the view either to the mountain or to the sea. The living room and kitchen areas were conceived as a single, uninterrupted unit offering the best possible ventilation conditions, an essential element, especially during the summer months. The living rooms, oriented to the north side overlooking the sea, are adjacent to large terraces shaped to function as a frame for the view that unveils from the large openings.
